The companies that make connected products need to take ethical responsibility for the products they develop and the way they process data.

This statement is as true today as it was in the fall of 2018 when Seluxit took steps to actively address the topic of data ethics.

The problem remains that what is ethically responsible is not always clear cut.

That’s why Seluxit tasked an industrial PhD in Philosophy (Jakob Thrane Mainz) to help us navigate data ethics. The result was a collection of 10 principles of data ethics to help us and our customers determine what is ethical regarding data from connected products.

We’ve recently reformatted and republished the 10 principles, also translating them to German. You can read the full set here on our website.
